The Business Administration Office for the Acushnet Public Schools is located in Albert. F. Ford Middle School at 708 Middle Road, Acushnet, MA 02743 (See Map: Google Maps). Our hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m on school days throughout the school year. Hours of operation vary when school is not in session.
The Business Administration Office is responsible for budgeting, payroll, purchasing, accounts payable, grants management, school bus transportation, food service, and rental of school facilities. Please use the "Related Links" in the left-hand column to access additional information.
In August 2022, the School Committee voted to appoint Mr. Patrick McIntyre as Business Manager of Acushnet Public Schools.
Mr. McIntyre is a dedicated School Business Manager with a proven track record of financial expertise and leadership. He has been instrumental in managing the financial operations of the district to ensure the effective allocation of resources for educational excellence.
Prior to this role, Mr. McIntyre gained valuable experience as a Lead Accountant at a Regional School District. In this capacity, he demonstrated exceptional financial acumen by overseeing the accounting system for all general ledger activity, as well as managing the budget, federal and state grant responsibilities, and financial audits.
Before entering the education sector, Mr. McIntyre worked for approximately six years as a public accountant with a concentration in the nonprofit industry. During this time, he successfully directed multiple client engagements, providing financial and managerial oversight, budgeting, and risk assessment. His commitment to client satisfaction, along with his ability to communicate complex financial data effectively, made him a trusted point of contact for clients. During this time, Mr. McIntyre also served as a career coach, demonstrating his dedication to fostering the growth and development of his colleagues.
Mr. McIntyre graduated from Assumption College with a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting, Minor in Economics. Mr. McIntyre completed his graduate studies at D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University where he received his Master of Science in Accounting.
