In Massachusetts during the month of March, MAEA annually sponsors a Statewide preK-12 YAM Exhibit of student artworks submitted by art educators in public, private, and independent schools from across the state. There are also regional and district wide YAM exhibits, as well as school-based exhibits and events throughout the year celebrating Art Education. Four of our students participated in this year's SEMSBA. At the same time, our fifth graders celebrated their 1000 Days. Last week, our fourth-grade students had the wonderful opportunity to visit the middle school for a demonstration on erosion and deposition. Mr. Cote’s science club students did an excellent job reinforcing grade-level standards previously covered in class. This hands-on experience allowed our students to see erosion and deposition in action on a smaller scale, making the concepts more tangible and engaging. Additionally, having middle school students lead the presentation provided a fantastic collaborative learning opportunity. The playoffs begin Thursday, February 6, 2025, for our FMS Wildcat Basketball Teams. The Boys are playing at HOME vs. Keith Middle School. The Girls are playing AWAY at Keith Middle School.
